This safari starts with Samburu game reserve which is the
spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area
where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage.
The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of
wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion,
reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra and crocodile in the
Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 species of birds have been
identified in the sanctuaries.

Day 1: Nairobi/Samburu
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through central
Kenya and north across the equator to Samburu National
Reserve arriving sentrim camp samburu in time lunch.
Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at sentrim camp
samburu.

Day 2: Samburu
Full day in Samburu, with an early morning and late
afternoon game drive. Samburu is a beautiful and
home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's
zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe.
Optional activites include a visit to a local Samburu
village, camel riding and guided nature and bird walks. All
meals and overnight at sentrim camp samburu.

Day 3: Mountain Lodge
Depart Samburu after breakfast and drive to the lower slopes
of Mt. Kenya arriving Serena Mountain Lodge (tree hotel) in
time for lunch. Relax the afternoon away as you watch game
from the balcony with an optional guided nature walk.
Overnight floodlit game viewing - Mountain Lodge rightfully
boasts of having the highest record of animal visits and
sightings in the area. Dinner and overnight..

Day 4: Lake Nakuru
Depart Mountain Lodge in the morning and drive to the floor
of the Rift Valley - to Lake Nakuru National Park making a
brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls. Arrive wildlife guest
house Nakuru in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive.
Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are
approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also,
many species of game can be found in the park including the
introduced Rothschild's giraffe, Kenya budget camping

rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon
and many species of plains game.
Dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru Guest House inside
the park.

Lake
Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the
over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a
soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the
at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a
distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also
earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered
species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black
and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are
all residents here.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive further along
the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara Game Reserve
arriving Mara Mara Sidai camp or Manyatta tented camp in
time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight
at the camp.

The Mara offers wildlife
in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to
believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded
here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles,
giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas,
jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of
antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the
most spectacular event of the natural world takes place.
This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and
zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and
pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the
savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and
vultures.
Day 6: Maasai Mara
Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game
sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of
spotting the Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and
elephant.
Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with
picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the the park, or
you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game
drives. You will also have the option of visiting a local
Maasai village .
All meals and overnight Manyatta tented camp.

Day 7: Maasai Mara/Nairobi
Another early morning game drive in Maasai Mara, then depart
after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving approx
13:00hrs. Drop at your hotel or transfer to the airport for
onward flight home.
