Day 1: Samburu
Amboseli means ‘the place of water’ in Maasai language. The
park has an endless supply of water which is filtered
through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount
Kilimanjaro. Animal species seen include elephant, zebra,
wildebeest, giraffe, impala and leopard. The birdlife seen
here includes pelican, bee eater, kingfisher, African fish
eagle and pygmy falcon. Amboseli is one of the most popular
parks and offers excellent accommodation facilities. There
are five lodges and two campsites inside the park.
Kilimanjaro forms the backdrop of this game sanctuary and it
is a sight to see and marvel at. The nomadic richly
decorated Maasai who are deeply steeped in Maasai culture
entertain visitors with enchanting dances of ageless Africa.
After breakfast depart Nairobi at 7.30Am drive to Samburu
National Reserve cross Equator, travel through changing
landscapes to the rugged-semi region, though harsh but
having unique species like the unusual reticulated giraffe,
grevy's Zebra, Beisa, oryx, gerenuk. These species are
rarely found elsewhere. The bird life is especially notable.
Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken.
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Campsite
Day 2: Samburu
The highlights of these reserves are the spectacular scenic
beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local
people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have
numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which
includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated
giraffe, grevy’s zebra and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro
river. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the
sanctuaries. There are lodges and campsites managed by
mobile tented camp operators. Shaba National Reserve is home
to the monument of Joy Adamson who, together with her
husband George, contributed greatly to Kenya’s wildlife as
an author, conservationist and artist. The film ‘Born Free’
is based on Joy’s book of the same title. Shaba was the
setting for the film ‘Sheena Queen of the Jungle’. Shaba
reserve is home to the rare blue-shanked Somali Ostrich.
Full day with morning and afternoon game drive. Optional
visit to Samburu villages. Meals and overnight at Samburu
Campsite
Day 3: Lake Nakuru
Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake on the edges of
Nakuru town and lies a distance of 160 kilometers from
Nairobi. The lake is world famous as home to millions of
flamingoes. The number of flamingoes depends on the water
level which determines the quantity of algae on which the
birds feed. Flamingoes are known to migrate to other Rift
Valley lakes whenever the water level is low. The National
Park surrounds the lake and was gazetted to protect the
colony of flamingoes as well as provide sanctuary for
endangered species such as the rhino. There are about 25
white and black rhinos, one of the largest concentrations in
the country. Predators are also residents to this park while
Rothschild’s giraffe have been trans-located into the park
for safety. Accommodation includes two lodges, a KWS guest
house, campsites, self help bandas and two picnic sites.
Depart Samburu after breakfast and leave for Lake Nakuru
arriving in time for lunch for Lunch, In the afternoon game
drive until late afternoon, later depart back to the Camp
for Dinner and overnight at Campsite
Day 4: Lake Baringo/ Bogoria
About 100km North of Nakuru, is this beautiful tranquil
fresh water lake host to rare 300 bird’s species seen no
where else in Africa. Boat trips on the lakes are popular to
view the hippo, crocodile and bird life. Also a visit to the
Njemps tribal villages or watch them fishing from their
frills papyrus boats is fun.

Lying between Baringo and Nakuru, is this soda lake a
favorite nesting site for the flamingos and where hot sulfur
springs abounds. There is also a small herd of greater kudu.

Leaving from Lake Nakuru after breakfast we make a scenic
drive to the west across the Lerochi Plateau, arriving at
Lake Baringo in time for Lunch. Have an afternoon day trip
to Lake Bogoira to explore the Lake Geysers and Hot spring
and in good day you will view Kudus, Antelopes,
Giraffes,later depart back to Baringo, Optional Boat Ride at
the Lake. Overnight at Lake Baringo Campsite
Day 5: Maasai Mara
Depart from Lake Baringo after breakfast and head for Maasai
Mara National Reserve which is famous for it's great herds
of wild game. All animals found in Kenya among the "big
five" are found here. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon
game drives. Dinner and overnight at Mara Campsite
Day 6: Maasai Mara
The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most
popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most
visited game reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was
made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type
of wildlife can be seen at the Mara. A spectacle worth
seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest,
zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania
border and the Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing
fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river
and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed
from early July to August. The reserve abounds with birdlife
since dose to about 452 species have been recorded. Hot air
balloon safaris are readily available in this park.
Accommodation is plentiful in Maasai Mara and ranges from
five star lodges to luxury tented camps and campsites within
the reserve.
From the camp, we explore the Mara region, packed with the
elephant, zebra, rhino and all kinds of game through out the
year with the spectacular wildebeest migration from
Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. Being at
Maasai Mara is "as if you found yourself in the New York of
the natural world according to some authorities". Indeed you
have the best opportunity of seeing all the big five. Dinner
and overnight at Manyatta Campsite.
Day 7: Amboseli
Depart Mara after breakfast and proceed to Ambosel, lunch
will be enroute to the Park. Upon arrival at the the Park
have a game enroute to the Lodge, Amboseli is at the Slope
or Foot of the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest
peak. Dinner and overnight at Ambopseli Camp

Day 9: Amboseli - Nairobi - Departure
Depart for Nairobi after breakfast, arriving late afternoon,
Optional Dinner at Carnivore Restaurant at rate of 40 USD
Per Person. Dinner will be at 1900Hrs, later transfer to
JKIA to board you flight back home
