Nairobi Wilson airport to the Maasai Mara which is known as
Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserve, situated in southwest
Kenya. Famous for the abundance of lion, the Great
Wildebeest Migration and the Maasai people, well known for
their distinctive custom and dress, it is without a doubt
Africa’s most famous safari destination.
Maasai Mara National Reserve stretches 1,510 sq km (580 sq
miles) and raises 1,500-2,170 meters above sea level. The
terrain of the reserve is primarily grassland and riverine
forest with clumps of the distinctive acacia trees. It’s
about 270 km from the capital city Nairobi and takes about
5-6 hours by road or 40-45 minutes by flight.
The Maasai Mara Ecosystem holds one of the highest lion
densities in world and this is where over TWO MILLION
Wildebeest, Zebra and Thomsons Gazelle migrate annually. Its
hosts over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of
birds.
Day 01: Nairobi - Masai Mara.
Pick up from Hotel at 8.30am drive to Wilson Airport to
board the flight to Maasai Mara at 10.00Am arrive there at
10.45Am, Upon arrival Sarova Crew will be waiting for you at
the Airport later Transfer to the Camp, Lunch will be serve
at Mara Sarova, In the afternoon have a game drive back to
the Camp for Dinner and Overnight at Mara Sarova Tented
Camp.
Masai Mara the world famous animal habitat. You will expect
to see animals like: lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and
elephant as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe and vast herds
of plains antelope and numerous other wildlife. For 2 days
you will be accommodated at Mara Sarova tented camp. Its is
located at a natural elevation between two streams and is
set amidst gardens full of exotic flowers. Each luxury
canvas tent, has a permanent roof and floor and attached
en-suite bathroom including a flush toilet, sink and hot
showers. Meals are served in the spectacular thatched roof
dining room.
Game drives in mornings and in the afternoons. The low
afternoon light is perfect for photographing the beautiful
rolling plains of the Masai Mara. In the early evening as
you make your way back to camp, you may get lucky and spot a
leopard on the prowl. As the sun starts to set you will
return to your camp. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sarova
Camp.
Day 02:Mara Sarova Flying Safari Package.
Early morning game drive when animals are most active. Your
stay will be punctuated by restful or leisure hours, which
be time to enjoy the rare ambience of the camp and the
serene atmosphere.
All meals and overnight at the Mara Sarova Camp.
Day 03: Mara Sarova Flying Safari Package- Masai Mara -
Nairobi
Early morning game drive with an option of hot air balloon
ride at an additional cost. After breakfast go for another
game drive. Then will be transferred to the Airstrip for your
scheduled flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be met
and transferred to your Hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International
Airport.
